As a graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City in Environmental History, I had the opportunity to read some really amazing texts that challenged me in many ways. For my love of reading and in respect to the educators to introduced them to me, I would like to begin a blog series where an important or personally influencial book can be put in the spotlight, or in this case, IN THE BOOK LIGHT.
Karl Boyd Brooks. "Public Power, Private Dams: The Hells Canyon High Dam Controversy." Seattle: University of Washington Press, 2006. xxvii + 290 pp. $35.00 (cloth), ISBN 978-0-295-98597-8.
Here is my own review of "Public Power, Private Dams," as it appeared H-net Reviews: in the Humanities and Social Sciences.
Thought you might like to see a comment or two...can't wait to hear about your MO Master Naturalists classes. Welcome Back!
